COMMENTARY: BUHARI MAKING NIGERIA A WASTELAND FOR TRIBALISM!
It is spellbinding that President Muhammadu Buhari can be so tribalistic and nepotistic that Niger Delta people are excluded in making appointments to the EFCC but intends to pay his 'appointees' from their resources. In his parochial reasoning, he also excluded the South-East region.
The action demonstrates inept leadership, callousness and lack of understanding of the doctrine of FEDERAL CHARACTER as enshrined in the Nigerian Constitution.
Why is President Buhari running for re-election if he can't interpret the Constitution?

NIGERIA:THE PASSING OF NIGER DELTA POLITICAL ICON-CHIEF (DR.) TONY ANINEH
"Anenih was consistent and persistent to the end in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) even in the face of treachery by some associates. This was one of the attestations by former President Goodluck Jonathan at the Requiem Mass and a session of Tributes held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at the Ecumenical Centre in Abuja." - Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan Read more at: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/12/tribute-tony-anenih-the-end-of-an-era/
COMMENTARY: The Niger Delta people of Nigeria lost one of their foremost political icons, Chief (Dr.) Anthony Akhakon Anenih (The Iyasele of Esan Land, Edo State) who was interred on December 1, 2018. One of the finest Nigerian Police officers before and after the antebelum period, Chief Anenih was an early graduate of the Bramshill Police College, Basingstoke, England in 1966 before proceeding to the International Police Academy, Washington DC in 1970. A former Chief Security Officer (CSO) to Nigeria's Governor General, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, he later became an instructor in several police colleges across the country and retired from active service in 1975 as a Commissioner of Police.
A post-war political ideologue, Chief Anineh was State Chairman of the National Party of Nigeria (NPN) before the military interregnum in 1983. He later became National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) during the IBB era that urshered in Chief M. K. O. Abiola in 1992 as it's presidential candidate that was annulled. With political intrigues as member of Constitutional Conference, 1994 and PDM, 2002, Chief Anineh became the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) Deputy National Coordinator of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo's presidental campaign of 1999, and later became Minister of Works and Housing. A man of great leadership proclivity, Chief Anineh ascended to become the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of PDP and worked effectively with former President Goodluck Jonathan. He was also a business mogul; he owned and managed a lot of companies, including construction giant SETRACO Nigeria Ltd. Chief (Dr.) Anthony Akhakon Aneneh was aged 85-years and blessed with many children, grand and great grand-children.
Chief Anthony Anineh made significant strides to balance the lopsided ethnocentric politics of Nigeria in his lifetime!
NIGER DELTA PEOPLES WORLD CONGRESS WARNS IPOB AND MASSOB:
LIMIT BIAFRA AGITATION TO SOUTH-EAST REGION!
In their youthful exuberance and bellicose rhetoric both Nnamdi Kanu of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) and Chief Ralph Uwazurike of the Movement for the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) seem determined to pursue the defunct dream of a Biafra Republic by subsuming other geo-political zones and ethnic nationalities into their fold.
The Niger Delta People's World Congress wants to make it categorically clear that the people of the Niger Delta WILL NOT and CANNOT be subsumed into Biafra in any shape or form! As such the agitation for Biafra should be limited to the South-Eastern states of Abia, Anambra, Eboyi, Enugwu, and Imo, to avoid violence. The dubious biafran map of expansionism MUST be redrawn to exclude the South-South states of Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Edo, Delta, Rivers, and their geographical domain. The interest of all Nigerians in the Niger Delta is focused on the continuous exploitation of crude oil and gas for sectional development while the owners wallow in object poverty.
As the Niger Delta Avengers stated before, the people of the Niger Delta are only interested in the creation of a Republic of Niger Delta. What we are demanding now is a REFERENDUM from the federal government of Nigeria for our people to vote for self-determination. This doesn't preclude future strategic alliance of a Niger Delta Republic with other balkanized states. Summarily, it is necessary and required for all interlopers to relinquish the oil blocs currently owned in the Niger Delta to the indigenous people.
